Guided tour of the Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen exhibition
Take a guided tour of the exhibition about the sculptor Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen.
She was the first woman in the world to carry out the most prestigious commissions in the sculpting profession—a equestrian statue of a king and bronze doors for a cathedral. She left her mark on public spaces, achieved international success, and held a status in her time that was remarkable both as an artist and as a woman. Join a guided tour of the first permanent exhibition of her works. Hear the stories behind her pieces and let the guide show you how clay, bronze, plaster, and wax were transformed into organic forms, where humans and nature merge in Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen’s hands. Along the way, Jesper Just’s work “Luminescens” is presented, emphasizing the vitality of Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen’s creations across the exhibition spaces.
