Follow Odense through the Viking Age, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance (c. 800–1660) – a period of dramatic change, where technology, religion, and economy evolved and transformed life for all social classes.
Experience the lives of the city’s inhabitants through objects, art, buildings, and food. On the first floor, life is explored from its darker aspects: disease, death, punishment, and war. This part of the exhibition includes skeletons of both children and adults.
The exhibition is housed in the historic red building from the 17th century, “Møntergården”. Please note that there are three steps at the entrance and stairs within the exhibition.
