Conflicts are an inevitable part of living closely together, and they have been so throughout history. TID invites visitors into historical and contemporary neighbour disputes, where one cannot help but ask: How did it ever come to this?

Alongside the stories, we take a closer look at what a neighbor conflict is, what is at stake for each individual, and what possibilities exist to prevent and resolve them. What they all have in common is that they may seem a bit silly at first glance—but for those caught in the middle, they are deadly serious.
It is therefore also our goal that the exhibition sheds light on what the conflicts are really about, why they escalate—and, not least, that by looking at historical examples, we might become better at resolving the neighbor conflicts we experience ourselves in the future.

The exhibition also offers the opportunity to share your own story.
If you know of a story about a neighbor conflict, we would love to hear from you. Please write to czs@museumodense.dk. Note that we never publish stories without your explicit consent.

The exhibition opens in Nyborgladen.
There are three steps at the entrance to the building, and stairs within the exhibition.

The exhibition is open until October 18, 2026.
