Power Station
In a small, protected industrial building from 1916 on Haubergsvej 1 – about a 15-minute walk from TID – you’ll find the large diesel engine that makes up Thriges Power Station.
From the early 19th century until after World War II, the power station supplied electricity to all the surrounding factories in the area that once comprised Thriges Factories.
Thriges Power Station offers a unique industrial interior, filled with historical gauges, wires, and buttons from a bygone era. The star of the exhibition is a B&W engine from 1923, which is started at 10:00 AM on the first Sunday of every month except January and July.
